Jonathan took first place in the Westfield School Science Fair. His project showed how fast the wind needed to blow to generate sufficient electricity to light a bulb.
Joshua and Hank Thompsen didn't place in the Bonneville Elementary School Science fair, but their project that measured the velocity and distance of several toy guns was well done and plenty of fun.
We think that Jonathan took 3rd place in the district among 180 projects. We think this because he was the third from last to receive the award and we think they were going from last to first. He was nervous when it got down to the last 10 or so. (So was I.)
