While Melissa and Michael are at sea, we took Benjamin and Joshua to the Federation of Music Teachers solo performance evaluation. Joshua and Benjamin both played two pieces and received comments from the three judges. Jack and Thomas were nice enough to dress up for the performance. It was more stressful than it needed to be, and it brought back memories of music federation experiences for Brian, Michelle and Melanie. Joshua received a 'superior' rating while Benjamin received an 'excellent' rating. Benjamin was disappointed and shed some tears and tore up his certificate which I recovered and Grandma repaired with tape.
Joshua was invited to audition and then perform at the honors piano recital which was held March 5, 2009. He did a great job. We attended the honors recital at the University of Utah along with his family and Grandma Roylance.
