Bob Short is my first high school friend to turn 60 years old. Somehow we have kept in touch for the past 50 years.

When Melissa was born 3X years ago it changed our lives forever (better). She has brought us much joy, and we love her with all our hearts.

2008-09-19 Pikes Peak

I went with Andrew, Ashley, Elizabeth and Katelyn on the cog wheel train to the summit of Pikes Peak. There was snow and it was a long train ride for the little ones. I enjoyed the views.

2008-09-14 Eden Grace Conley

Eden was born on September 14, 2008 at 12:09 pm. I was speaking in church while Grandma held her cell phone close by just in case Melanie or Jeff should call with the news. We went to visit after a couple of days.

2008-09-12 Scout Jamboral

I served as the quartermaster for district 25 at the scout jamboral. Thomas and Michael came for Friday evening. Our ward's boy scouts were selected to eat breakfast with the general authority celebrities.

2008-09-03 Ian Barrett is baptized

Ian Barrett, our neighbor next to Seagers, was baptized last night. His mom, Kathy, was baptized a couple of years ago, but he has resisted. A week ago he decided to attend our ward services and the catholic church and afterwards decided to be baptized.

2008-09 Grandchildren starting school

This photo of Elizabeth, Will and Jack (and Abby, Benjamin and Andrew) was taken in our kitchen in March 2004. Now in 2008 Elizabeth, Will and Jack along with Elsa have started kindergarten. We've had some fun stories of these four grandchildren starting kindergarten. Elsa thought that her teacher wasn't wearing underwear (she had her clothes packed in boxes). Elizabeth was frightened of the fire drill. Will's teacher pulled out a guitar and played some silly songs after Mindy coached Will not be be silly in class. Jack started yesterday and I haven't heard yet what his day brought.
